We’ve covered the 61A750 on several occassions.
We touched on how to install the lamp for this set: http://tvlampsnbulbs.com/2008/07/how-to-change-your-samsung-dlp-lamp/
We also gave our own review of the 61A750, not too long ago.
4 days prior to our review, the guys and gals CNet gave it a go and had some pretty good things to say.
From their review:
Performance
This is where the Samsung excels compared to the competition. Color fidelity is exceedingly accurate, requiring only user menu tweaks that don’t need professional calibration to access. The primary colors and the grayscale could still stand to be improved a bit, and can be with full-blown professional calibration, but the out-of-the-box performance is still impressive in this regard. And most importantly, blacks can be made to surpass the old microdisplay black-level champs–the Sony SXRD sets, like the Sony KDL-55A3000–by proper manipulation of the LED Control feature. When you decide to take the plunge, you can buy the HL61A750 from Amazon at a great price.
